Flathead Lake East

Before Quent and Christina's flight left, we had time for a leisurely stop in Bigfork, Montana.

The flowers were beautiful.

Quent & Christina gearing up the camera components for some flower photos with the town of Bigfork in the background.

We had to break out the Lensbaby to get some close-ups.

Another close up.

We removed the macro lenses and shot a couple wider shots with the Lensbaby.

More flowers!

We shot this pic of a cute sign before taking Quent & Christina to the airport in Kalispell. We were sad to see them go, but look forward to our next adventure!

South of Kalispell we were treated to panoramic views of Flathead Lake.

After seeing the serene view of this sailboat, we had to stop.

Credit to the polarizer for making this shot happen. Pat was tempted to jump in after the fish.

One last view of the sailboat before continuing on.

A cute barn west of Missoula.

I thought this building looked 'old-westish'

I think this was supposed to be a photo of something else, but turned out to be a neat one of a railroad electric pole.

Rock cliff east of Missoula.

Rockier terrian gave way to more plains between Missoula and Butte.

Wide open spaces.

The sun setting on one of the excavation walls of an open-pit mine in Butte.

An eagle's head? East of Butte, the terrain turned rocky again.

A quintissential Montana view. Not too shabby for shooting out the car window.

A few of many fence posts we saw along the way.

A view of the sunset before stopping for the night in Billings.
