Alaska Trip

Earlier in the year our Friend Quentin approached us with the idea of a trip to the Alaskan interior in the Summer. We made our arrangements and before we knew it, Sara and I found ourselves on a plane bound for Anchorage in early August. Quent had kept the trip a secret from Christina until a few days before departure. As a second surprise she discovered that Sara and I were accompanying them on the trip when we met them at the airport. That first day we meet with Quent's brother, Nathan, who was kind enough to lend us his truck for the trip. We then gathered our gear and headed north to Talkeetna where we spent the night.

Sara in the morning, outside our accommodations.

The George Parks Highway.

Denali viewpoint....where we couldn't yet see Denali since it was too foggy.

Foolin' around.

Blueberries. There were blueberries everywhere we looked throughout the trip. Blueberry pancakes became the staple breakfast meal.

Fireweed, as Quent told us, was also most places we would visit.

As we made our way north, the sun came out.
