Duluth!

We decided to make the move to Duluth this December. Here are some photos we took when we were interviewing in October. Hopefully when we get 'up and running' here we will have some winter photos.

A view of Minnesota point, the lift bridge, and Superior, WI from Duluth

Range lights for the shipping channel which connects to the St. Louis River

A Salty (?) coming into the shipping channel. You don't have to watchthe water long to see a boat!

A tunnel on Hwy 61 along the North Shore

The Two Harbors Lighthouse, about 27 miles from Duluth up the "North Shore" as everyone here calls it.

Ore docks in Two Harbors

An awesome bridge - oh, and Gooseberry Falls :-)

An island north of Two Harbors

Both of us infront the Split Rock Lighthouse

The Split Rock Lighthouse - a must see!!

Hunting in Iowa

I had the chance this year to join my Dad, Aunt, and Uncles in what has become for them an annual hunting trip out in Iowa. This year it was a six day trip with us michigan folks (Dad, Uncle Rick, and I) leaving early morning on Wed 11/16 and returning Mon 11/21. We made the 690 mile trip in 10.5 hours only making four stops, three short stops for gas and one stop to let the dogs out. Once in Iowa we made our way out to the Poulson's ranch where we awaited the arrival of my Aunt Lisa and Uncle Bill from WY. The Poulson's are old U of WY friends of my Uncle Bill who graciously let us come out each year and hunt their ranch. The following are some snapshots I got while out in IA.
