May

Spring has sprung. Or it sprang. You select the correct tense. Anyways, most importantly along with Spring came warmer temperatures, green grass, buds on the trees, flowers, and all the other wonderful things we wait for all winter long.

The first trip of the Month took us to Houghton for Andy's (Sara's Brother) graduation from Michigan Tech. This picture here is of Sara, Andy and their father, Bruce taken just after the ceremony. It was nice to be back at tech. We had the chance to see some old friends and see the latest set of engineers begin their careers with stars in their eyes as they dreamt of the life their shiny new degrees would bring them. We didn't have the heart to tell them all that it'd be eerily similar to the Dilbert cartoons.

You can see the buds on the trees in this mid-May photo taken north of Two Harbors along the shores of Lake Superior. Not quite swimming weather though Sara had her hopes!

My parents came to visit Sara and I around Mothers Day. We had a great time showing them around and spending the weekend together. As a bonus they brought up my beagle for the visit. We took a short moment for a photo-op.

Towards the end of May we headed on down to Indiana for Jennifer's (Sara's Sister) Graduation from High School. Near the top of her class just like the two brainy acts before her. Here is a picture of the three geniuses. With a smart family like that, I'm thinking' about retiring......

Flowers! Sara took here hand at gardening this summer. Here is a small sample of the fruits of here labor.

Another cool picture Sara took of some flowers. Not sure where this was taken but I don't think it was our yard. I'd remember seeing this one around if it was......

A nice hanging plant that sits outside of our bedroom window. Later in the year it unfortunately succumb to the drought. I should post a before and after picture for everyone to see.......

One last flower picture. Look, it's about to sneeze. :) Sometimes I don't think Sara gets my humor.
